A WOLF IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING etnies PRESENTS THE VEGAN JAMESON HT
Built for Ryan Lay
Today, etnies announces the Global release of a Vegan high performance skate shoe: The Jameson HT. Gathering inspiration from Ryan Lay’s personal life choice, his performance needs in skateboarding footwear and a belief in our brand mantra – Built By Skateboarding, etnies set out to create a durable, high performance skate shoe for all vegan skaters. A variety of footwear can be considered vegan because they are made with all canvas and animal friendly products, but none of them are designed to endure the daily abuses of skateboarding like the Jameson HT is. The Jameson HT is constructed with synthetic suede across the toe box and an additional hidden flow molded toe cap as used in the Jameson XT. This flow molded toe cap hidden under the vamp provides long-lasting durability. Utilizing the faux-vulc cupsole construction developed from the infamous Jameson SL for that vulcanized look with cupsole impact protection and durability. This Jameson HT is truly a Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing.
Artwork from this Collection was designed by Michael Worful, a good friend of Ryan’s well known for his Album Artwork and support of the Skate After School Program. Worful’s graphics were inspired directly from the original sheep from Sheep shoes, the vegan sister brand of etnies from the mid ‘90s.
Developed and utilizing only animal-friendly materials, the Vegan Jameson HT has been developed as a durable footwear option for all vegans, Built by Skateboarding from the ground up and proudly supporting Ryan in his skateboarding and his personal life choices.
This Collection includes two tees, a long sleeve tee, a hoodie, socks and two colorways of the Jameson HT. Heavily drawing influence from other styles in the popular Jameson Bloodline, the Vegan Jameson HT builds into a long line of enhancing skate performance through hidden technology and design simplicity.
